Prosthodontics:
Prosthodontics is the sphere of dentistry that offers with substitute of lacking tooth with biocompatible substitutes that repair feature and aesthetics. The prostheses fabricated can be constant or detachable. Prosthodontics entails a variety of laboratory strategies for specific prostheses consisting of detachable partial dentures and glued dentures with ceramic facings over steel copings. The devices utilized in prosthodontics have medical and laboratory applications.

  1. Gem Stone: The term GEM STONE refers to hard stones that are particularly resistant to wear and compression. These stones are used for flashing dentures, research models, antagonist models, and articulators.
  2. Amalgam Carrier: Instruments called amalgam carrier are used to place amalgam fillings in dental cavities. By pressing on the lever that triggers the piston inside the tube or the back end of the amalgam carrier, they function similarly to syringes in that they transport the amalgam in their tubular tip, which is then inserted and forced into the tooth cavity.
  3. Algitex Alginate: Dental impressions are created with Algitex Alginate Impressioning Material, a well-liked, smooth-mixing alginate powder. These imprints are created by dispensing a thick liquid substance, such as alginate, into an impression tray that is shaped like a U to comfortably fit inside a mouth.
  4. Tropicalgin Alginate: Tropical-flavored chromaticalginate that sets quickly. Tropicalgin Alginate indicated for study models, antagonists in fixed and removable prostheses, and removable prostheses.
  5. Vita Shade Guide: All natural tooth colours can be precisely and methodically assessed with the VITA Shade Guide. It enables the correct determination of bleached teeth's shades using current shade-taking procedures. It is currently the only colorimetric system that is commercially available that was created using the colour spatial sorting theory. A more realistic colour restoration that saves time and money is achieved by having every component of the system match one another.
  6. Zelgan 2002 Alginate: A perfect preliminary dental impression can be created using Dentsply Zelgan 2002 Alginate an irreversible hydrocolloid alginate impression substance that is dust-free and has good repeatability of the anatomical characteristics of the dental arches. This high-quality impression material can be used to create dental imprints to create temporary restorations, detachable prosthetics, and working models to produce orthodontic appliances.
  7. Prime Chrome Chromatic Alginate: Prime Chrome Chromatic Alginate is a chromatic, dust-free, and thixotropic impression substance. It mixes well and gives a rubber effect. It has a lemon flavour, and all timings are tracked back to the beginning of the mix. Water and a 25 °C room temperature
  8. Bite Registration: Bite registration is a process in dentistry where the dentist or dental technician creates a physical record of the position of the patient's upper and lower teeth when they are in a closed, biting position. This record is typically made using a soft, pliable material that the patient bites down on, which captures the exact position and orientation of their teeth.
  9. Crown Preparation Kits: Crown preparation kits are used in dentistry to prepare a tooth for a crown restoration. A crown is a type of dental restoration that covers the entire surface of a tooth and is used to protect and strengthen damaged or decayed teeth. Crown preparation kits typically include a variety of tools and materials used to shape the tooth and create a stable foundation for the crown.
  10. Crown Remover: Crown removers are tools used by dentists to remove dental crowns, which are caps that cover the surface of a tooth to protect it or improve its appearance. Crown removers typically have a long, slender handle with a small hook or grasping mechanism at the end that can be inserted under the crown to lift it off the tooth. Some crown removers also have a lever or ratcheting mechanism to provide additional leverage when removing the crown.
  11. Denture Base Material: Denture base materials are materials used to make the base of dentures. Dentures are removable prosthetic devices that are used to replace missing teeth. The denture base is the part of the denture that rests on the gums and supports the artificial teeth. It is typically made of acrylic resin, a type of plastic that is strong, durable, and flexible. Other materials that can be used to make the denture base include silicone and metal alloys.
  12. Denture Relining Material: Denture relining materials are materials used to repair or reinforce the fit of a denture by adding additional material to the base of the denture. This is typically done when the denture no longer fits properly due to changes in the shape of the mouth or gum tissue. The most common types of dentures relining materials include acrylic resin, silicone, and polyvinyl siloxane.
  13. Denture Trimming Burs: Denture trimming burs are a type of rotary dental instrument used in dentistry to trim, shape, and finish dentures. These burs are typically made of a high-speed steel or diamond and are used to remove excess material from the surface of the denture to create a smooth and precise fit in the mouth. Denture trimming burs are commonly used in the manufacturing process of dentures and can be used in conjunction with other dental instruments, such as sandblasters and polishers, to achieve a perfect finish.
  14. Finishing and Polishing Materials: Finishing and polishing materials in dentistry are materials used to smooth and shine the surface of restorations, such as fillings and crowns, to achieve a natural and aesthetic appearance. These materials include abrasive agents such as pumice, aluminium oxide, and silicon carbide, as well as polishing agents such as diamond paste, polishing cups, and rubber cups.
  15. Gingival Retraction Materials: Gingival retraction materials are materials used by dental professionals to expose the crown margins of teeth for the purpose of making an accurate impression or to prepare the tooth for a restoration such as a crown or bridge. These materials are typically placed in the gum tissue surrounding the tooth and work by mechanically pushing the gum tissue away from the tooth to expose the crown margins.
  16. Impressions Material: Impression material is a type of material used in dentistry to create a negative replica of a patient's teeth and oral structures. It is typically used to create models of the mouth for diagnostic purposes, to create custom-fit dental appliances or prosthetics, or to plan dental treatment. Impression materials come in a variety of types, including polyvinyl siloxane (PVS), polyether, and alginate, and can be used in conjunction with different impression techniques, such as hand-sculpting or using a mechanical impression tray.
  17. Temporary Crown Material: Temporary crown materials are materials used to fabricate temporary crowns or caps that are placed over a tooth while a permanent crown is being made. These materials are typically made of acrylic or a composite resin and are used to protect the tooth and restore its function until the permanent crown can be placed. Temporary crowns are usually used for a few weeks to several months, depending on the complexity of the case and the availability of the permanent crown material.
  18. Shade Guide: Shade guides are tools used in dentistry to help determine the shade or color of a patient's teeth. They are used in cosmetic procedures such as teeth whitening and veneers, as well as in restorative procedures such as fillings and crowns. Shade guides usually consist of a set of tooth-shaped samples in different shades of white, ranging from very light to very dark.
  19. Impressions Trays: Impression trays are used in dentistry to create an accurate mold or impression of a patient's teeth and oral structures. They are typically made of a flexible material, such as plastic or rubber, and are used in conjunction with impression material, such as alginate or silicone, to capture the shape and contours of the teeth and gums. These impressions are then used to create dental restorations, such as crowns, bridges, and dentures, or to aid in the planning of orthodontic treatment.
  20. Crown Removers: Crown removers are specialized tools used by dental professionals to remove dental crowns from a patient's teeth. Dental crowns are often used to protect or restore damaged or decayed teeth, but they may need to be removed for various reasons, such as to repair or replace the crown or to perform other dental work on the tooth. Crown removers come in various shapes and sizes and are designed to gently lift and remove the crown without damaging the tooth or surrounding tissue.
